KATI'S KUPCAKES is named after owner and founder, Kati Angelini.

 After graduating from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in 1996, Kati relocated to her home state of New Jersey. It was then that she began combining her passion for art with an eternal love of baking. In college she was deeply influenced by the beautiful cake paintings of her very talented and esteemed professor, Wayne Thiebaud. Thiebaud's paintings of luscious pies and cakes dripped of beautiful, sweet, saturated colors. Kati remembered these paintings and the skills she learned from her other talented Bay Area professors in the days she spent as a young art student.

After marrying her husband and having three children, Kati found herself once again combining her mutual passions of baking and art. She continued to perfect some of these talents in her home kitchen, testing old family recipes out on pleased loved ones who were always eager to volunteer. Now, realizing that her young children are growing up and no longer in need of a hovering mother hen around them, Kati is ready to devote full-time to her love of baking.

The idea and concept of KATI'S KUPCAKES is to create amazing cupcakes and other yummy baked goods which are aesthetically pleasing to the eye AND the tastebuds. You could call her baked goods tiny works of art; wonderful to look at and delicious tasting!
